There are several benefits of Soft Washing like how it keeps the property cleaned for an extended period of time versus pressure washing. Soft Washing utilizes a cleaning solution mixed with water in a gentle pressure application that quickly and effectively removes organic matter such as algae, dirt, grime, gunk, and mold.
As you see in this photo, there are dark streaks on the surface area on the roof. That is called Gloeocaspa magma. As these infamous algae accumulate due to moisture that stays on the roof, it develops a dark-hardened outer coating which can cause your home to attract more heat. The light spotted areas on the roof is where the solution is already applied.
The main solution we use is a biodegradable algaecide that is the standard for the soft washing industry. It does most of the work in removing the algae and mold that is attached on the surfaces of the home. The solution is combined with water and a surface-active agent that helps reduce surface tension of the dirty surface to stick onto the material, allowing the combination of the solutions to work and renew the exterior surface of the property.
